Rethinking Space

This survey assesses an inefficient council estate and underutalised council land, highlighting spaces with development potential. As part of a densification strategy this information forms a catalyst for creating new homes, both social and private, while maintaining and bolstering existing communities, local character and sense of place.

Initial Feasibility Study

This initial feasibility study assesses a densification strategy for Rhodes Estate, east of Dalston Junction.
Key parameters:
• Strengthen and maintain existing facilities
• Maintain urban grain
• Reduce impact on existing inhabitants

This strategy maintains the ground floor function in this case (site 'A') car parking, whilst providing 33 apartments, housing a potential 100 people within the existing urban fabric. Within this scheme site 'C'  would also see the existing rundown community centre rebuilt for the existing community and its new proposed inhabitants.
